Saturday, May 1st, 2010 Red McCombs Automotive Team came together to support our employees, family and friends who are fighting breast cancer by participating in the San Antonio Chapter of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at the Alamodome. With the help of all the dealerships in the Red McCombs Automotive Team, we were able to open the team participation to not just employees, but family, friends, customers, vendors and anyone that wants to help raise money for a worthy cause. The Automotive Team covered ALL registration and t-shirt fees for ALL participants. This allowed for all 350 team members to focus on raising money. Together we raised $24,782.32. We had some great fundraisers from all the locations. Golf Tournaments, Bake Sales, and even just simple jar collections all made a HUGE difference.
We even had members of our competitive running team place. Womenn 1st place Rochelle Cuff; Menns 3rd place Tony Rimas, 5th place - Herman Rozemberg, 8th place - Matthew Wilmore, and 9th place - Steve Bogisch.
A big THANK YOUU to Kristin Deitch for spearheading our team and to all the Team Captains at each of our business locations. You did a great job organizing and rallying the troops to push for more donations.
